Positively Pinwheels Quilt Workshop with Janet Goddard from Patchwork Patterns

Saturday 16th May – 10am – 4pm – £50 – Positive and negative pinwheel blocks alternate in this bright quilt. This is a great stash busting project.

Students need to be able to use a rotary cutter and stitch an accurate ¼” seam.

Requirements:

The requirements listed below are sufficient to make a quilt approximately 46 ½ ” x 62 ½ ”.

• *24 (10” squares) in a variety of grey background fabrics (or 1 ½ m of background fabric) I have used a Jen Kingwell layer cake “Behind the Scenes” from Moda
• *Brightly coloured fabric scraps (equivalent to 1 ½ m of fabric)
• *0.5m plain grey fabric for the border
• *Neutral thread for piecing
• *Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat.
• Sewing machine.
• *Usual sewing equipment.

To finish the quilt but not needed on the day:

• *14” WOF binding fabric or use left over scraps
• *50 “ x 66” backing fabric
• *50” x 66” wadding
