Fabric Christmas Crackers with Janet Goddard

Friday 16th August – 9.30 am – 12.30 pm – £25  – Make your own Christmas crackers as gifts for others or as a permanent table decorations to contain personal gifts. The crackers come apart so that gifts can be inserted and are sustainable, being able to be used year after year. Why not stitch them in fabrics to match your table decor?

This morning  workshop falls on our yearly Christmas event where we have lots of offers available on Christmas products, mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas music ❤️ This is always a fun get together with lots of laughs.

Requirements:

These quantities will make two crackers:

*1 fat quarter of Christmas fabric.

*1 fat quarter of plain contrasting fabric for the lining

Card in the following sizes will also make 2 crackers. (The card must bend and hold a curve.)

4 pieces 2 ¾” x 6 ½”

2 pieces 6 ½” x 4”

2 pieces 6 ¼” x 4”

*1 metre thin ribbon

Pritt or glue stick for card and for trimmings if they are light weight or glue gun if trimmings are heavy

*rotary cutter, mat and ruler

*Sewing kit, and thread to match fabric

NB The crackers are 90% hand stitching however the first part can be stitched on the sewing machine so you may want to bring a machine to use for this part or alternatively complete it by hand.
