Star Table Runner Workshop with Janet Goddard

Saturday 5th December  – 10am – 4pm – £50 – Stitch a festive/ non festive table runner in time for Christmas using machine piecing and a little appliqué.

The requirements listed below are for a table runner measuring 20 ½” x 50 ½”, however the length of the runner can be adjusted by adding or reducing the number of stars. The appliquéd holly leaves can also be changed to suit. Students need to be able to use a rotary cutter and stitch an accurate ¼” seam.

Requirements:

 *½ m red fabric

*½ m green fabric

*¾ m background fabric

*¼ m bondaweb or heatnbond lite

*Neutral thread for piecing

*Thread to match fabrics for the appliqué

*Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat

Sewing machine with ¼ in foot and applique foot

Usual sewing equipment

To finish the quilt but not needed on the day:

 *Fabric for the border and binding

*Wadding

*Backing fabric
