Scrappy Crosses Quilt Workshop with Janet Goddard

Saturday 6th March  – 10am – 4pm – £50 – I have made this quilt now in three variations. The first two quilts had the blocks stitched in the same fabrics which were repeated each time but my latest one has been stitched entirely in scraps and is a real scrap buster. Choose to work with either scraps or in a set colour palette. The requirements below are for a scrap quilt.

 Finished size: 54 ½ x 65 ¾ in

Requirements:

*1m of light fabric for the background (this could be the same or different fabrics. I have used pale grey scraps here)

*3m of bright/medium/dark fabric scraps

*Neutral thread for piecing

*Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat

Sewing machine

*Marking pen/pencil, scissors, pins and usual sewing equipment

To finish the quilt but not needed on the day:

*15in fabric for the inner border

*24in Fabric for the outer border

*Backing fabric 60 x 70in

*Wadding 60 x 70in

*15in fabric for the binding

*Thread for quilting
