Christmas Advent Fairy Workshop with Rosie’s Armoire
Saturday 25th October – 10 – 4pm – £99 – Helen of Rosie’s Armoire is returning to Poppy Patch and we cannot wait. The workshop in March was a huge success and the fairies the ladies made were beautiful. This is a fabulous day and you make a very special fairy.
In this workshop you will make your own Christmas advent fairy, she even has a little button on her dress to hang the days of the month.
All your materials will be provided in the kit at an additional cost of £14. Please bring along any special fabrics, lace, buttons, small pieces etc… anything you might wish to use to make your doll unique too. Helen will guide you on painting your fairy’s face and choosing a name if you would like to.
Throughout the day you will learn new techniques and if you wish, adding delicate embroidery to the French-inspired vintage Brocante linens and fabrics, will making your fairy very special.
Basic sewing skills are required for this workshop, please bring along your own sewing kit, threads and fabric scissors. The body of your fairy will already sewn up there is no need for your sewing machine.
Your finished doll will measure approximately 26cm.

A little bit about Helen:
Helen is a textile maker and creator based in Lancashire, England. She studied textiles at Glasgow School of Art and has subsequently started her own business in 2009, which was her dream.
The inspiration for her work began with the imagined contents of a French armoire: vintage linens, buttons, ephemera and old photographs.
She loves sourcing old fabrics and haberdashery, then giving them a new lease of life within her work .
“There is also a family history of textiles, making and collecting, so it was inevitable that this would inspire my own work.”
Her collection of hand-printed and stitched textiles is all made by herself from her family’s farm in Lancashire.
