Folded Star Workshop with Jane Glover

Saturday 23rd November – 10 – 4pm – £50 – Why not join Jane for the day and make this delightful folded star. This is a deceptively simple technique, which Jane will walk you through step by step. Once completed you can use to make a cushion or at home continue to make more of them for a table runner, bed runner, wall hanging or quilt.

This pattern is suitable for all skill levels, although you will need to be able to use a ruler and teary cutter accurately. It is highly preferable to have a walking  / even feed / dual feed foot for your machine to help you sew through fabric layers. If in doubt, please test before the workshop as we will be sewing lots of layers together.

Requirements:

Sewing machine in good working order with all the feet, power leads and instructions.

*Standard sewing kit, including bobbin, matching threads, scissors, pins and a rotary cutter.

*Marking tool, ruler.

*8 x fat quarters (must be metric fabric quarters, 20” x 22”)

*16 1/2 square of fabric for the base

*75cm background fabric which includes the back of the cushion

*Iron and ironing mat

*spray starch (non aerosol)

Clover hot press hemming ruler or similar
