‘Field with Red Poppies‘ Wool Painting Workshop with Raya Brown on Saturday 4th October

Saturday 4th October – 10am – 4pm – £85 – Create a stunning and vibrant wool fibre painting guided by a professional artist and art tutor Raya Brown.
Enjoy the therapeutic experience of working with natural wool and silk fibres, and explore the amazing wool painting technique.
This is not felt making. The unique technique involves laying and shaping fibres, cutting and manipulating them to achieve beautiful images, vibrant textures and watercolour effects.
This is a workshop for anyone. Complete beginners as well as people with some experience in art and textiles are welcome.
This step by step workshop is designed for you to have fun with different wools and experiment with colour and fibres.
At the end of the workshop  you will make a fantastic gift for yourself or a friend- a wool painting which you will put in a glass frame and take with you!

Everything is included in this workshop except your glass frame. This frame can be purchased from Raya at a cost of £6 each or please see the sizes below when buying your own.

Requirements:

Small fabric scissors

If you would like to purchase your own frame:

The approximate size is 35cm x 30cm or 14” x 12”

It needs to be a glass frame with a small gap between the glass and the frame.
