‘Drawing with Stitch’ workshop extension with Jane Caven Art
Saturday 24th October – 10am – 4pm – £50 – ‘Drawing with Stitch’ workshop extension: using collage to embellish embroidered textiles. This is an extension to the ‘Drawing with Stitch’ workshop. We will look at developing composition and enhance design by combining collaged fabric shapes with stitched work.
Based on the ‘drawing with stitch’ technique, which uses a simple running stitch to ‘colour in’ areas of the design, using a black cotton drill background, different fabric shapes [tie dyed cottons, batiks] of varying colours can be incorporated. These fabrics will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own favourite off cuts to use.
