Cathedral Window Cushion Workshop Janet Goddard from Patchwork Patterns
Saturday 2nd November – 10- 4pm – £50 – Cathedral window is a folded patchwork technique which looks highly intricate however it is a simple technique with really effective results. The first part of the process is completed on the sewing machine while the second part is completed by hand. The materials listed below are enough to make a cushion with an envelope back.
Finished size: 18in x 18in
(Materials are not included)
Students need to be able to use a rotary cutter and stitch an accurate ¼” seam.
Requirements:
* 1 ½ m plain fabric for the background and cushion back
* 24 scraps brightly coloured fabric approx. 3in square for the windows
* Thread to match background fabric
* Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat.
Sewing machine and its lead, foot pedal, instructions etc
Usual sewing equipment.
To finish the cushion but not needed on the day:
