This sweet pin cushion is a celebration of violets. It has a combination of embroidered pockets, gathered panels, dimensional felt leaves and double sided fabric flowers. It also features simple embroidered motifs, and a cluster of double-sided fabric violets and felt leaves. As well as small pockets to store your packets of needles, embroidery scissors and threads.

The pin cushion sides consist of 3 embroidered bumble-bee pockets and 3 gathered panels.  Back-stitch, satin stitch and a few French-knots are the only stitches you’ll need to embroider the sweet bumble bee pockets. The base is pieced with triangles and pulled in at the centre with a  button.

“For the Love of Violets” is the perfect project for those who like to combine their love of embroidery, patchwork and dimensional embellishment.
