Stockings Alight Workshop with Melanie from MellyMade Designs

Saturday 7th November 2026 – 10 – 4pm – £75 – Bring your creativity to life with this fun and festive workshop! Using my favourite material,
Vlieseline S80, we will create unique Christmas stockings decorated with vibrant designs, hand
stitching, beading, and—best of all—twinkling LED lights.
You can follow my patterns or let your imagination run wild by doodling your own designs.
With acrylic paint pens, beads, and lights, your stocking will become a one.

I will supply the Materials for £5.00 a kit, please pay Melanie on the day

A little bit about me:

I am a British Textile Artist and Tutor with over 45 years of experience working with textiles.​ My greatest inspiration has been my Mum, an incredibly talented artist whose beautiful work first sparked my passion for textile art. For the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of teaching textile and mixed media workshops for both beginners and advanced learners. I love sharing my knowledge while constantly exploring new techniques myself.

Requirements:

• A basic sewing kit (including small, sharp scissors)

• Size 22 chenille needle

* Embroidery Threads stranded or perle (I will bring some to use)

This is an all day workshop so don’t forget to bring your lunch. I shall look forward to seeing you.
