Lino Print Christmas Selection with Louise Nichols

Saturday 17th October 2026 – 10 – 4pm – £80 – Choosing from a selection of pre-printed designs you will be able to create your own Christmas image.   You will spend the day embellishing one of a selection of lino printed Christmas images. Louise will demonstrate how she embellishes her designs but you are welcome to embellish them in any way you choose using felt, fabric, threads, beads etc. You can use a variety of stitches which can all be done by hand or use decorative machine embroidery if you prefer. Once your panel is finished it can be made into an item such as a wall hanging, tea-light, picture or cushion & instructions & demonstrations will be given to show you how to complete your design.

There will be a choice of a Large Leafy Christmas Tree 38cm x 29cm (£12.00), Small Leafy Christmas Tree (in hoop) 25cm diameter (£6.00) and a Partridge in a Pear Tree 30cm diameter (£12.00). There will also be extra prints available to purchase on the day.

Some of the designs have extra prints embellished onto them, these are 25p each.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own you if so wish. Also, do not forget Poppy patch have a beautiful collection of threads ❤️

Requirements:

Basic sewing kit 

*Light weight iron-on interfacing (to back your print) 

 You can use a variety of items to embellish your print, here’s a list of suggestions:- 

Felt 

*Fabric scraps – plain or patterned 

Ribbon/lace 

Threads & yarns – all thicknesses – I use 16’s, 8’s & 5’s aswell as a general sewing thread 

Beads 

Buttons 

& anything else you want to bring along!  

Also handy:- 

*Bond-a-web 

Pencil 

*Disappearing fabric pen 

Sewing Machine:- You’re very welcome to use your sewing machine to add details & embellishments too. It’s not very often that you will finish your embellished print on the workshop but if you do, you will need a sewing machine to make your panel into a hanging.

Louise will have a selection of felt, threads & embellishments available to purchase on the workshop
