My Heart Belongs to You Quilt Workshop with Janet Goddard from Patchwork Patterns

Saturday 5th July – 10 – 4pm – £50 – The blocks in this quilt are super sized, with each block containing four hearts. This is a quilt which works well in multiple sizes from lap to king and is great for those fabrics that have large patterns on them. Alternatively one block would make a great cushion. The negative space provided by the background fabric really allows the heart fabrics to stand out. The blocks are machine pieced.

Requirements:

The requirements listed below are sufficient to make a quilt measuring approx. 46 ½ in square.

*1 ½m background fabric

*A selection of fat quarters in a variety of fabrics for the hearts. Each block uses two fabrics

*2 ½in WOF strip for the corner stones

*15in fabric for the outer border

*Neutral thread for piecing

*Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat

Sewing machine (1/4in patchwork foot), leads, instructions, power etc

Usual sewing equipment

To finish the quilt but not needed on the day:

*12in fabric for the binding

*Wadding 50 x 50in

*Backing fabric 50 x 50in
