Saturday 18th March – 10am – 4pm – £75 – This appliqué and free motion machine embroidery course is a perfect next step for stitchers who have completed a little free motion previously and wish to extend their knowledge in general textile skills. You will stitch a bird in a seascape and learn about Jo’s textile processes. The star of the course is a Curlew but there are lots more bird templates to choose from OR do bring your own.

This free motion embroidery and applique day will guide you through the many stages and processes I use to create these embroideries. There will be a templates to use on the day.
You can use hand dyed fabrics, please bring along already prepared for the day OR Poppy Patch have a great selection of fabric.
I will go into more depth on how to use bondaweb to transfer an image from a drawing. You will learn how to layer up background fabrics and experiment with black and coloured thread. I give you the option to keep it simple or stretch yourself with exciting creative free motion embroidery stitches created by experimenting with tension and thick threads.
