‘The Holly, The Ivy and the Hare Quilt’ Workshop with Becky De’Ath from Willow and Hare Stitching
Saturday 6th December – 10am – 4pm – £90 – This design was inspired by my love of the countryside, and collecting berries and foliage to make my Christmas wreath, one of my favourite past times, and very nostalgic.
This project is whimsical, folksy and primitive in design, and incorporates my love of mixing different fabric types and hand stitching techniques. I use a mixture of cottons and hand dyed woven wool with hand appliqué, embroidery and English paper piecing. The pattern for this workshop is included in the cost of the day.
The finished size 17 x 14 inches.

*Neutral tone with small floral print (Central Panel) 16 x 14 inches
*Deep red with floral print (Inner Red Border) 8 x 15 inches
*Neutral tone with small floral print (Outer Embroidered Border – Same as Central Panel) 4 x 58 inches
*Mid green with small floral print (Rosehip Leaves) 4 x 8 inches
Half Inch Hexagons; Variety of small fabric scraps Per hexagon 1½ x 1½ inches

Strawberry – Solid (Rosehips, Holly Berries) 2 x 6 inches, Olive – Solid (Holly Leaves) 4 x 10 inches, Green Leaf – Texture (Ivy Leaves) 4 x 4 inches, Vintage Lilac – Solid (Ivy Berries) 3 x 3 inches and Hickory – Solid (Hares) 4 x 8 inches.
