Hare Appliqué composition with Kate Findlay
Saturday 10th September – 10am – 4pm – £75 – Make a small fabric picture in a day using hare templates provided. We will consider design, composition and colour. Using bondaweb, we will be cutting fabric shapes and ironing them down as raw edge appliqué. The composition can then be finished with hand or machine sewing as preferred. Hare templates will be provided. Ideas for settings will be given, including simple landscapes. We will make a design approximately 40cm square.
*40cm square approx of white or grey felt,
*A mixture of fabrics to suit your composition : ideal cotton fabrics would be textured, mottled, batiks, or randomly dyed, or small patterns. You will need fabrics for your background which can be one piece or a selection of fabrics.
*Sewing kit, fabric scissors, embroidery threads for finishing details.
Pencil, rubber, and paper scissors.
Sewing machine. Free motion quilting foot ideally.
